This year, the “Artificial Intelligence Day” took place once again on July 2. The event, organized jointly by Rostock University Medical Center, the Faculty of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering, and KI MV, offered exciting insights into innovative developments in artificial intelligence in medicine and healthcare.
The focus was on innovative research approaches, practical case studies, and interdisciplinary exchange between science, clinical practice, and technology. A highlight this year was the panel discussion on the ethical aspects of AI use in the medical field, as well as the presentation of the Digital Health Campus, which is being developed in collaboration with the University of Rostock and Fraunhofer IGD. The goal is to more closely integrate research, technological development, and clinical care to bring innovative solutions into practice more quickly and shape the future of medicine together. AI Day impressively demonstrated how collaboration across different disciplines can be successful.
