Ahmed Neffati defends his M.Sc. Thesis

Ahmed Neffati, student of business information systems at the University of Rostock, will defend his master thesis on 17.09.2020 on the topic "Requirements Analysis of the Use of Social Media within Corporate Networks". Supervisors and reviewers were Dr. Lantow and Felix Timm of the University of Rostock.

Abstract:
Social media are increasingly becoming indispensable tools for companies in various activities within companies. The aim of this thesis is to develop a deeper understanding of how social media can be used in the B2B context, whether they can support the networking of companies and whether they are able to meet the needs of the B2B market, as well as the requirements and practices for a better use of social media in B2B companies. This study consists of a systematic literature analysis according to Kitchenham and a qualitative content analysis according to Mayring. The empirical data was collected through expert interviews and analyzed according to the Mayring method. This study found that social media offers B2B companies several functions that can be relevant for value creation. and for an effective implementation of social media, this thesis proposes a comprehensive model that can help companies to implement and work with social media.
