On February 6, 2026, Fraunhofer IGD Rostock hosted the event “Shaping the future with AI – from idea to business model.” The workshop had around 40 participants (on site and online), who discussed a range of topics as part of the lecture program, such as the potential of AI and best practices for its implementation, possible effects on business models, and relevant regulations and legal provisions. Among the participants in the afternoon was Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania's Minister of Economic Affairs, Dr. Wolfgang Blank.
The event was organized jointly by Fraunhofer IGD Rostock, the Ministry of Economics of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania (as part of the action field Information and Communication Technologies of the Regional Innovation Strategy), and KI MV.
