Observatories in general are used for observing terrestrial or celestial events, e.g. in astronomy. The chair business information systems also finally installed an observatory, but not for use in astronomy. The purpose will be to observe enterprise modeling and knowledge modeling processes, for example performed by modeling teams. The results will be used to improve modeling methods and tools. For this observatory, the European Fund for Regional Development (EFRE) granted 60 000 €.
