Center for Entrepreneurship (ZfE)

The Center for Entrepreneurship (ZfE) of Rostock University changes its organizational status into an institute of the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences. The Center is strategically positioned to support and coordinate topics related to entrepreneurship within the university.

Prof. Dr. Kurt Sandkuhl, Prof. Dr. Michael Leyer and Prof. Dr. Andreas Diettrich have taken over the first scientific leadership of the institute. In addition to the focus on business and entrepreneurship education, this means that both topics of business information systems and digital service operations are now in focus.

The new institute "Center for Entrepreneurship" supports in every phase of start-up projects. Starting with the evaluation and structuring of ideas and concepts, to support in the formal and organizational implementation of the business start-up. It examines and evaluates the business model, assists in the preparation of business plans, is the contact for all public funding programs and also provides support in venture capital financing through the network that has grown considerably in recent years.

Kathrin Krüger-Borgwardt and Dr. Martin Setzkorn, who have been working with the ZfE for many years, have been appointed as managing directors of the ZfE and will take over the operative management. "The foundation of the institute will give the ZfE an even better visibility for the topic of entrepreneurship", says Kathrin Krüger-Borgwardt.
