CHE Ranking: B.Sc. Business Information Systems at the University of Rostock with excellent result

The Bachelor program in Business Information Systems at the University of Rostock achieved very good ratings in the current ranking of the Centre for Higher Education Development (CHE) and took third place in a Germany-wide comparison. Students were surveyed to evaluate the study conditions. In addition, the CHE collected facts on teaching and research. The ranking offers prospective students an important orientation for their choice of study place, so University of Rostock is all the more pleased about the excellent result. Professor Kurt Sandkuhl thinks: "The Rostock Business Information Systems team is very happy and also a little proud of this result. This is the result of a very good cooperation between the students and the teachers from computer science and business administration. Over the past few years, we have worked together to keep improving the programme. We will take this as an incentive to continue to cultivate the strong points of the programme and to improve the areas where things are not yet running optimally. Such a ranking also helps with this, as we as a university not only get the public results, but also detailed evaluations with corresponding tips."

With around 120,000 students surveyed, the CHE University Ranking is a comprehensive comparison of universities and is intended to support first-year students in their choice of subject and location. This year, the subjects studied included business administration, economics, industrial engineering and business informatics.

The results are published in the ZEIT Study Guide, which has been available in stores and online since mid of May 2026.
