Paulina Penkovskaia, business informatics student at the University of Rostock, will defend her bachelor thesis on "Systematic Analysis of Enterprise Architecture Management (EAM) approaches in public administration" on February 2, 2018.

Abstract:
This bachelor’s thesis defines significant terms for understanding of Enterprise Architecture Management (EAM), its importance and functionality in public administration. The purpose of the research is to define special features of using EAM in public administration in general in order to provide analysis, extensive description and comparison of using EAM approaches in four federal states of Germany, i.e. Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Berlin, North Rhine-Westphalia and Schleswig-Holstein. The research showed that EAM plays an essential role in structure of public administration. The comparison framework and special features of using EAM in government have been defined. However, the comparison of four above mentioned federal states of Germany demonstrated, that not all of these federal states use or provide various specific types of information regarding different EAM approaches in their e-government structure. Nevertheless, the work is limited to the number of relevant documents provided by the state government of four federal states of Germany.
