The 31st International Working Conference on Exploring Modeling Methods for Systems Analysis and Development (EMMSAD 2026) and the 38th International Conference on Advanced Information Systems Engineering (CAiSE 2026) took place from June 8 to 9 (EMMSAD) and from June 10 to 12, respectively, in Verona, Italy. CAISE is a highly renowned, top-ranked conference in the field of Business Informatics, focusing on technologies and methods for information systems, while EMMSAD focuses more on modeling.
The Business Information Systems team at the University of Rostock was represented at both conferences with a presentation in the conference program: At EMMSAD, Kurt Sandkuhl presented a joint paper with Christoph Rosenau titled Operationalizing Future Viability in Enterprise Architecture: A Capability-Based Assessment Method. At CAISE, the title of the paper was An AI Enterprise Modeling Project Assistant – Needs and Possibilities, and it was a joint effort with Jelena Zdravkovic, Janis Stirna, and Chen Hsi Tsai from Stockholm University.
