Achim Reiz has been a research assistant at the Rostock Chair of Information Systems since mid-2019 and is researching the quality evaluation of ontologies and knowledge graphs (see doctoral project). The research and the "NEOntometrics" software developed in the process attracted the interest of external partners at an early stage and led, among other things, to a joint publication with the research department of Robert Bosch GmbH.
The doctorate is expected to come to a successful conclusion in the course of this year. However, the software developed has high practical relevance and is to be further developed as a commercial solution in the future. The "EXIST" start-up grant was successfully acquired for this purpose. From spring this year, Achim Reiz and two other founders will further develop and market the previously research-oriented software into a quality management tool for knowledge graphs and the underlying ontologies.
