IT-organizations are increasingly experiencing the consequences of cloud computing and digital change as the speed of change in market requirements and business processes increases significantly. Rigid IT processes form an obstacle here. This is why IT service management has to fundamentally rethink and declare agility to be its new self-image. More than 60 percent of companies rely on the ITIL (IT Infrastructure Library) framework for IT service management. The new ITIL 4 must now prove that it can also withstand the changing requirements of an agile, digitalized world.
