This year, for the first time, iWOAR and the International Conference on Perspectives in Business Informatics Research (BIR) are organizing a joint event - the Industry Day. While iWOAR focuses on technology-related innovation in the field of sensor-based activity recognition and AI, BIR is dedicated to this topic from the perspective of business informatics. The main focus is on business information systems and their modelling. In a world of Cloud, Social and Big Data, new challenges arise for enterprise modelling and the design of information system architectures, e.g. with regard to the design of data-driven processes or processes that enable cross-enterprise collaboration.
These challenges can only be mastered through close cooperation between players from different disciplines, such as business informatics and computer science.
The Industry Day is intended to provide the appropriate platform for this. We want to offer practical representatives the opportunity to present their own applications and interesting questions in the topic area of "Sustainable innovation through digitalization and artificial intelligence" as a lecture and/or with an exhibition stand at the Industry Day.
You can contribute and present yourself in various ways at the Industry Day. Do you have interesting problems or ideas yourself for which digitization or the use of artificial intelligence could be worthwhile? Or have you already developed solutions yourself? Then submit an abstract (maximum one A4 page) in which you briefly outline your questions, ideas and possible solutions and send it to infoiwoarorg. At the Industry Day, you will have the chance to present this content and engage in an intensive exchange with experts from research and practice.
