Annual conference of the ESF Plus-funded "Future Centers" 2023

On December 7, 2023, the first annual conference of the Future Centers took place under the title "Fit for change: countering the shortage of skilled workers with digital and AI applications", at which the results of the past year were reported and examples of innovative approaches to supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) were discussed. The business informatics team, as part of the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Future Center, was involved with a workshop contribution on supporting skilled workers through the use of AI applications and provided creative impetus using AI demonstrators at the "Market of the Future".

With the Zukunftszentren Plus funding program, the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs (BMAS) supports the development and testing of innovative concepts for further training in companies that are aimed at strengthening digital skills in companies as part of the European Social Fund (ESF). Twelve regional future centers from all over Germany and the House of the Self-Employed are focusing on the needs of SMEs in their region in order to find tailor-made solutions that take into account the digital transformation and ecological sustainability and help companies and their employees to position themselves for the future.
