Review of the AI Dialogue: Setting Course for the Future

Kurt Sandkuhl bei der Vorstellung vom ZMV+

On July 23, 2025, the Regional Future Center Mecklenburg-Vorpommern+ (ZMV+) and its partner project KIMV invited guests to this year's AI Dialogue – Course for the Future. The special networking event did not take place on land, but on a boat tour through the port of Rostock and on to Warnemünde.

With around 70 participants from science, business, and administration, the event offered a unique setting for exchange, cooperation, and visions of the future in the field of artificial intelligence. After a welcome by Prof. Dr. Kurt Sandkuhl (ZMV+) and Dr. Anne Gutschmidt (KIMV), exciting insights into current projects and research priorities were presented.

Afterwards, the focus was on networking: in cheerful weather, with finger food and drinks, numerous new contacts and ideas for joint projects were made on the sun deck of the passenger ship.

The tour took guests from Rostock's city harbor via the warehouse district and the fishing port to Warnemünde, before returning to the city harbor in the late afternoon.

AI Dialogue 2025 once again demonstrated how important personal exchange is for the development of innovative AI solutions in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania – and that shaping the future also works excellently in a maritime atmosphere.
