AI in imaging diagnostics - November event of the Centre for Artificial Intelligence in MV available on YouTube

The last event of the Centre for Artificial Intelligence in MV and the Digital Innovation Centre Rostock was about AI in imaging diagnostics. With Dr Martin Dyrba, we had an AI researcher as a guest who is primarily working on improving the diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease. This is one of the diseases that psychiatrist Prof. Dr. Stefan Teipel, also a guest on the programme, is researching at the German Centre for Neurodegenerative Diseases. Dr. Dyrba and Prof. Teipel have made it their goal to ensure that AI-based diagnoses are explainable, i.e. medical professionals should be able to understand and comprehend why an AI suggests a certain diagnosis.

Our third guest, Thomas Ruth, presented the company arivis, which among other things offers visualisations of medical data. Companies like arivis are the ones who implement research like Martin Dyrba's and make it available in applications for medical professionals.
