On 17 September, the 15th edition of the workshop on ‘Business and IT Alignment’ took place, organised jointly by Jönköping University (Sweden) and the Chair of Business Informatics. This year, the workshop took place as part of the Business Informatics Research Conference (BIR 2025) in Riga. It was divided into two sessions and had more than 25 participants, which is very good considering that other workshops were held in parallel at BIR. The core topic of ‘Business and IT Alignment’ is the coordinated development of operational and IT structures. The programme for BITA 2025 included the following presentations:
- Olivier Le Van and Valentina Curcio. From Tool to Colleague: How AI Partnership Transforms the Developers’ Identity Across Cultural Boundaries
- Václav Řepa. The importance of an ontological view of a business system for the correct design of its business processes
- Ben Hellmanzik, Kurt Sandkuhl, Peter-Alexander Kolev, Hauke Pruss and Yannik Blank. Integrating Business Models of Actors in Digital Business Ecosystems
- Nikola Ivanovic, Benjamin Nast and Kurt Sandkuhl. Towards building blocks for predictive analysis of HVAC systems
- Feline Kreye, Jennifer Hynes and Hasan Koç. Factors and Consequences of Loneliness in the Digital Workplace: A Systematic Literature Review and Framework for Empirical Testing
- Anna Jegorova. Resolving System-Organisational Misfits: Development and Assessment of a Misfit Resolution Framework for Off-the-Shelf ERP Systems
