New EU-funded Project on AI in Medical Diagnostics

The Business Information Systems team is part of a recently granted project funded by the European Union’s Baltic Sea Region program that aims at supporting hospitals in introducing artificial intelligence (AI) based clinical diagnostics. In total 14 partners from seven countries, among them five hospitals, participate in the three-year project that has its kick-off meeting on March 9 and 10, 2023, in Copenhagen. The objectives of the project include development of collaboration models for co-development of new medical AI-solutions between clinicians and enterprise, to facilitate and improve the transformation of a clinical need into a solution, and to provide safe environment for the clinicians to test those new solutions. The lead partner of the consortium is Ideklinikken, Aalborg University Hospital (Denmark); partners from Germany are Biocon Valley, Rostock Medical University Medical Center, and Rostock University research group Business Information Systems.
