New Cloud Computing project jointly with SIV.AG

SIV.AG, Roggentin, and the Chair of Business Information Systems successfully acquired a joint project in the field of cloud computing. The project ECLORA (development of a cloud computing reference architecture) was granted in December 2014 by the state of Mecklenburg- Western Pomerania and uses resources from the European Fund for Regional Development. ECLORA has a runtime until September 2015.

Enterprise Architecture Management (EAM) gains increasing importance for small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) in utility industries. Many enterprises are dependent on IT in their business. In general, an enterprise architecture (EA) captures and structures all relevant components for describing an enterprise, including its business and operation model, organizational structure, business processes, data, applications and technology. ECLORA aims at developing a cloud computing reference architecture for SME in utility industries. The approach taken is to capture EA of specific enterprises and to identify common elements and structures in these architectures, as well as processes for adapting the reference architecture to specific companies.
