Keyvance GmbH, Neubrandenburg, and the Business Information Systems group at the University of Rostock recently launched the REBAKI project (reference model and building blocks for AI as a service for process automation in broker pools), which is funded by the state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and the EU. Together with Apella AG, Keyvance GmbH offers back-office solutions for insurance brokers and brokers for financial services (so-called broker pools). Due to the large number of different documents that have to be processed, the automation of processes is of high importance. The aim of the joint project is to develop a methodological/technological solution that enables the automated processing of typical processes in broker pools. A key component of this solution is that information must be extracted from previously classified insurance industry documents in order to realize automation. The development of reference processes for the industry is also a key development task.
