At the NØRD Digital Convention 2026, held May 27–28, the Chair of Business Informatics, together with the Zukunftszentrum MV+ and KI MV projects, was represented with two booths in a shared exhibition space. Over the two days of the event, research and practical applications in the fields of digitalization and artificial intelligence were presented and incorporated into the program through lectures and workshops.
The focus was on intensive exchange with businesses, academia, and government. The guided tours by Digitales MV led numerous visitors to the two booths and facilitated a wide range of discussions on current developments in the fields of digitalization and AI.
Zukunftszentrum MV+ highlighted practical support services for small and medium-sized enterprises navigating the digital transformation. KI MV focused on networking, guidance, and access to contacts as well as research structures in the field of artificial intelligence in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. In their discussions, both projects underscored the high demand for low-threshold support and exchange formats.
ZMV+ in particular offered a diverse program. Workshops on training and artificial intelligence, as well as a hands-on workshop on developing an AI assistant, drew significant interest. In addition, discussions on sustainable digitalization and future scenarios involving AI took place on the Green Stage.
The strong response to the presentations and discussions underscores the importance of digitalization and AI for businesses in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. We would like to thank all participants as well as the organizers of NØRD 2026 and look forward to our next joint events.
