Organization of EMISA 2018 in Rostock

From May 24.-25., 9th international workshop EMISA 2018 took place in Rostock. The workshop on “Enterprise Modeling and Information Systems Architectures” offered a multifaceted program and was organised by Jun.-Prof. Michael Fellmann and Prof. Sandkuhl. Six doctoral projects and eleven contributions to new research ideas were presented. In addition, eleven papers on existing research were presented and discussed. Contributors came from many countries, including Australia, Belgium, Netherlands, Austria, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey and Germany. The program was further enriched by two keynotes held by the internationally renowned researchers Mathias Weske (HPI Potsdam) and Janis Stirna (University of Stockholm). Finally, the program was complemented by a reception in the inner center of Rostock on the evening of the first workshop day, as well as a city tour followed by dinner on the second day. All in all, the Rostock Business Informatics Group can look back on an successful conference also made possible by the support of numerous local helpers.
