In December 2024, the 17th IFIP WG 8.1 Working Conference on the Practice of Enterprise Modeling (PoEM) took place at Stockholm University. Two conference proceedings were published as a result of PoEM 2024 (see figure on the left).
Main conference: Springer LNBIP 538
The proceedings of the main conference were published by Springer in the series Lecture Notes on Business Information Processing (Volume 538). The 17 papers in this volume were carefully refereed and selected from 48 submissions. In the proceedings, they have been organized into the following thematic sections: Enterprise Modeling for Digital Transformation and Industry Applications; Advances in Enterprise Modeling Techniques; Process Mining and Business Process Analysis; Security, Compliance and Configuration in Enterprise Modeling. The central theme of PoEM 2024 was “Industry 5.0 and Society 5.0”.
Forum, tools and demos and workshops: CEUR 3855
PoEM 2024 was accompanied by the PoEM Forum, presentations of modeling tools and three workshops. The proceedings were published as volume 3855 in the CEUR Workshop Proceedings series. The workshops in detail:
- 2nd International Workshop on the Foundations and Applications of Capabilities in Enterprises, and Transformations and ESG Initiatives Simulation
- 1st International Workshop on Models for Simulation
- Advancing Enterprise Modelling through Digital Transformation, FAIR Data Management, and Blockchain Integration
Each workshop had its own organizers and international program committee. Following the peer-review process, the organizers of the PoEM 2024 workshops selected 13 scientific papers for presentation and inclusion in this volume. All contributions deal with new topics in the field of enterprise modeling.
