On November 21 at 15:00, Leon Görgen will defend his Master's thesis on “A comparison of information extraction solutions in German: open source vs. proprietary” in room 242 (Konrad-Zuse-Haus). Leon is a Master's student in the Business Informatics program and was supervised by Leon Griesch and Kurt Sandkuhl (both Chair of Business Informatics).
Abstract
This master's thesis deals with information extraction (IE) using deep learning approaches, an area that has become increasingly important in recent years. Due to advancing technological developments and increasing requirements, there are a variety of approaches that can be used for this task. This thesis aims to compare different techniques and approaches in an experiment. The central question of this work is how this data can be systematically analyzed and transferred into a structured format in order to ensure its further usability.
