Curriculum Vitae

Birger Lantow, born 1977 in Germany, is a scientific assistant and teacher at the chair of Business Information Systems at the University of Rostock. He holds a diploma in Industrial Engineering. In 2010, Birger Lantow received a PhD on the topic of "Load Optimization in Wireless Sensor Networks" from the University of Rostock.

Between 2002 and 2010, Birger Lantow has already been a member of the scientific staff at the chair of Business Information Systems at the University of Rostock. Besides his research, Birger Lantow organised the study program on the topic of information infrastructures and held major responsibilities on the implementation of the Bologna Process for the study program of Business Information Systems.

In 2011, Birger Lantow was employed by the Dr. Schnell und Dr. Hensel GmbH. Here he developed several e-commerce and mobile-commerce projects for customers like Webasto AG or Volkswagen Service Deutschland GmbH.

Since 2009, Birger Lantow is member of the editorial board of the "International Journal on Advances in Networks and Services".
