The IFIP working conference on „The Practice of Enterprise Modelling (PoEM)“ celebrated this year its 10th anniversary. After conferences in Stockholm (2008 + 2009), Delft (2010), Oslo (2011), Rostock (2012), Riga (2013), Manchester (2014), Valencia (2015) and Skövde (2016), this year’s edition of PoEM took place in Leuven (Belgium).
Anne Persson (Skövde, Sweden), Janis Stirna (Stockholm) and Kurt Sandkuhl were the founders of PoEM and got an award for their commitment in integrating research and practice of enterprise modelling. All three are also steering board members for PoEM and active in propagating and developing its topics.
The photo shows Kurt Sandkuhl with the award, a small 1 kg replica of the sculpture „Fons Sapientiae“ (Source of Wisdom) from the streets of Leuven. More information about the sculpture is available here.
