Together with Dr. Diestel GmbH from Rostock, the Chair of Business Information Systems will be researching the use of artificial intelligence (AI) for the energy optimisation of ventilation and air conditioning systems over the next three years. The "BAKARA" project builds on the results of the KIDiRA project and focuses on flexibly configurable modules for AI solutions and the explainability of the results of AI processes.

Wismar University of Applied Sciences (Prof Hagendorf), Stralsund University of Applied Sciences (Prof Kuhr) and schiller engineering (Hamburg) are also involved in the project.

The project, with a total volume of over 1 million euros, is receiving funding from the Ministry of Economics of the state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern from EU funds from the ERDF programme.
