AI-based diagnostic assistance for the energy optimization of HVAC systems (KIDiRA)

The KIDiRA project (AI-based diagnostic assistance for the energy optimization of HVAC systems) is co-financed by the European Union from the European Regional Development Fund (EFRE). The aim of the project is to create technological and methodological components for a diagnostic system for HVAC systems and to support operational processes.

The optimization of energy efficiency in ventilation and air-conditioning systems is becoming increasingly important in view of rising costs and environmental protection. Existing systems are often not sufficiently digitized to detect unnecessary excess consumption. The overall aim of the project is to develop a diagnostic technology for these systems based on the Internet of Things (IoT). This enables the performance of HVAC systems to be evaluated with as few additional measuring points as possible.
