PoEM 2022 proceedings published

In November, the 15th IFIP WG 8.1 Working Conference on the Practice of Enterprise Modelling (PoEM) took place at Middlesex University in London. Two proceedings volumes were published as a result of PoEM 2022 (see image on the left).

Main conference: Springer LNBIP 456

The proceedings of the main conference were published with Springer in the series Lecture Notes on Business Information Processing (volume 456).  The 15 papers presented in this volume were carefully reviewed and selected from 45 submissions. They were organized in topical sections as follows: Models in information system development; modelling enterprise architectures, DSML and meta-modelling; modelling capabilities and ecosystems, participatory modelling.

The central theme of PoEM 2022 was “Enterprise Modelling and Model-based Development and Engineering”. The theme reflects the importance of Enterprise modelling methods, techniques and tools in the development of complex solutions and systems, for example in the context of digital transformation, implementation of Artificial Intelligence, Internet-of-Things, Big Data solutions or Information and Software Systems. The field of Enterprise Modelling seeks to support these challenges by providing methods and tools, as well as investigating and reporting on the current state-of-research and state-of-practice.

Workshops: CEUR 3298

PoEM 2022 included two workshops. The proceedings were published as volume 3298 in CEUR Workshop proceedings series. More specifically:

1st International Workshop on Digital Twin Engineering

3rd Workshop on Blockchain and Enterprise Systems (BES)

Each workshop had own organizers and an international program committee. After the peer-review process, the PoEM 2022 workshop program committees have selected 14 scientific papers for presentation and inclusion in this volume. All contributions address significant and emerging topics in the enterprise modelling field.
