This year’s Hanse Congress included a talk by Kurt Sandkuhl about Smart Region. The basic idea of this concept is to apply technologies and building blocks known from Smart City implementations in large cities for smaller town. Due to the increasing digitization, such building blocks become affordable for smaller town and touristic regions.
