The fourth ZuGPM-Workshop took place, this year supported by the Berlin BPM-Offensive and Signavio

The fourth workshop on the status and challenges of business process management (ZuGPM 2018) took place on September 28. This year, the workshop was organized in cooperation with the BPM-Offensive Berlin and supported by Signavio GmbH. The workshop covered a wide range of topics. The topics of the contributions included the support of ad-hoc production planning through process mining, waiting time prognosis in processes, recording desktop computer usage and also the use of new hardware such as smart glasses in modeling. The program was supplemented by "alternative formats" -- these were activities with strong involvement of the workshop participants. In addition to the presentation and practical testing of two games for teaching modeling knowledge (BPMN wheel), a step-by-step moderated discussion on a doctoral topic was conducted in another alternative format. The approximately 30 participants experienced an insightful day, on which many ideas could be exchanged and discussed, but also new contacts were made. The rooms of Signavio in the heart of Berlin contributed to a pleasant atmosphere as well as the excellent catering. Signavio therefore deserves special thanks from the organizers for their generous support of the workshop.
