Two journal articles accepted for publication in BISE

In September 2017, two journal articles were accepted for publication in "Business and Information Systems Engineering" (BISE), one of the most important journals for business informatics. The papers are extended versions of contributions, which had already been presented at the PoEM 2016 conference and received an award there. The authors were then invited to submit their papers in the Special Issue "Enterprise Modeling for Business Agility". Prior to acceptance, both contributions were assessed in a regular peer review process.

The study conducted by Prof. Sandkuhl with seven co-authors from five different countries on the topic “From Expert Discipline to Common Practice: A Vision and Research Agenda for Extending the Reach of Enterprise Modelling” makes an important contribution to the scientific field of enterprise modelling.

In the contribution written by Prof. Fellmann with co-authors from the University of Osnabrück, a generic data model for Recommender Systems in business process modeling is derived using various information sources and empirical results. It is subsequently applied to a novel system for modeling business processes at runtime using Smart Glasses such as Google Glass. Both contributions show that Rostock's Business Informatics Group manages to combine both application-oriented research and high scientific impact. Both contributions will appear in the special issue „Enterprise Modeling for Business Agility“ in Issue 1/2018 of the BISE-Journal. For more information, see here.
