Achim Reiz, born in 1993, has been a research assistant at the Chair of Information Systems at the University of Rostock since 2019. He completed his basic studies in Business Informatics with a specialization in Sales & Consulting at the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University in cooperation with IBM Germany. He worked on various customer projects, focusing in particular on real-time analytics, digital transformation and mobile strategy consulting. After successfully completing his Bachelor of Science, Achim Reiz switched to the double degree program at the University of Rostock. After several study and research stays at the ITMO University of St. Petersburg (Russia), he obtained the Russian M. Sc. in Business Informatics as well as the German M Sc. in Business Informatics. His research focused on corporate knowledge management, in particular the development of a tool for the automatic analysis and extraction of PowerPoint diagrams.

Current research focuses on the evaluation and quantification of ontologies and, building on this, their maintenance and evolution.
