Task and Domain-specific Assistance Systems

The goal of our research is to create advanced assistance systems for specific application domains. Such systems can, e.g., compensate for missing skills or can augment human abilities. Our ambition is to empower individuals with systems that foster a balance between task efficiency and comfort. Examples are systems for automated analysis and planning in the domain of person-centric services or systems for innovation management. Moreover, we also aim to design assistance systems to fulfill basic human (work) needs and even foster eudaimonic well-being (well-being related to excellence, personal growth, meaning and authenticity).

Research Topics

  • Requirement elicitation in specific domains and for distinct tasks
  • Designing IT-based task support to improve efficiency and comfort
  • Early evaluation regarding individual and organizational outcomes
