Werdegang
Dr. Matthias Wißotzki erlangte den Master of Science (2007), das Diplom der Wirtschaftsinformatik (2009) und den Dr.-Ing. (2016) an der Universität Rostock. Seine Forschungsschwerpunkte bezogen sich auf die Bereiche Digitalisierung, Unternehmensarchitekturen und Capability Management. Herr Wißotzki ist Autor und Co-Autor mehrerer Bücher und Forschungspublikationen. Seit 2013 ist er Invited Expert der Open Group in London und unterstützt eines der größten Technologiekonsortien der Welt rund um das Thema Capability-Based-Thinking. In der Lehre war er auf die Themengebieten Unternehmensmodellierung, E-Business, Mobile Commerce sowie Internet-Of-Things spezialisiert. Vor seiner Zeit an der Universität war er als Berater im Bereich Business-IT-Management und Softwareintegration tätig und gründete bereits verschiedene Firmen. Als Entrepreneur im Bereich E-Commerce erhielt er bereits als Student verschiedene Platzierungen bei StartUp- und Innovationswettbewerben wie z.B. den ECCOM Website Award (2007), den Jungunternehmerpreis der Universität Rostock (2009), dem MV Startup Gründerwettewerb (2012), dem Inspired Ideenwettbewerb (2014) und Innovation Award (2015).
Forschungsinteresse
Die Digitalisierung ist derzeit der wichtigste Grundbaustein wirtschaftlichen Wachstums. Moderne Unternehmen müssen aufgrund der zunehmenden digitalen Vernetzung, immer smarterer Automatisierungsmöglichkeiten, omnipräsenter Zugangstechnologien sowie dynamischen Kundenanforderungen zunehmend über ergänzende und neue digitale Geschäftsmodelle nachdenken. In diesem Zusammenhang beschäftigt sich Wissenschaft und Praxis verstärkt mit der Aufbereitung und Konzeptualisierung des Themas, um Potenziale für neue insbesondere digitale Geschäftsmodelle schneller nutzen und die sich daraus ergebenen Herausforderungen besser bewältigen zu können. Die erfolgreiche Entwicklung und Integration digitaler Geschäftsmodelle erfordert ein hohes Maß an Agilität, welche nur dann ökonomisch gegeben ist, wenn die Auswirkungen von Veränderungen im Unternehmen oder die Entwicklung neuer Unternehmen zu jedem Zeitpunkt bestimmt werden können. Die automatische Anpassung von Geschäftsmodellen, welche auf Basis von Analysen großer Datenmengen, die zuvor von Sensoren in physischen und virtuellen Umgebungen gesammelt wurden, stellt nur ein Szenario dar, welches die bestehende Komplexität eines Unternehmens erhöhen kann. Grundvoraussetzung dafür ist das Wissen um die Anatomie von Geschäftsmodellen, die für die Anpassung bzw. Neugestaltung notwendigen Fähigkeiten und die davon betroffenen Strukturen innerhalb und außerhalb des Unternehmens. Um diese Voraussetzung zu schaffen und verwalten zu können bedarf es einer Reihe von Techniken, Methoden und Werkzeugen, welche als Bestandteil neuer Managementansätze etablierte Disziplinen ergänzen. Dies bedeutet, dass auch hier Unternehmen umdenken und aufrüsten müssen um sich upzudaten. Geschäftsmodellmanagement (GMM), Fähigkeitenmanagement (FM) und Unternehmensarchitekturmanagement (UAM) gehören zu diesen Ansätzen und unterstützen Unternehmen bei der: Erarbeitung und Dokumentation der aktuellen Unternehmenssituation bestehend aus Geschäftsmodell und die dafür notwendigen Architekturobjekte wie Abläufe, Strukturen und Produkte. Analyse digitaler Potenziale zur Ergänzung bzw. Erneuerung der Wertschöpfung Erarbeitung und Konkretisierung der Unternehmensstrategie zur Umsetzung digitaler Zielstellungen sowie Ableitung der dafür notwendigen Unternehmensfähigkeiten Ermittlung des Veränderungsbedarfs sowie Planung der für die digitale Transformation benötigten Architekturen. u.v.m. Die fachliche Integration dieser Tätigkeiten und damit auch geschäftsmodellbasierte, fähigkeitenbasierte und unternehmensarchitekturbasierte Ansätze prägen meine Forschungsaktvitäten, welche häufig auch zusammen mit Praxipartnern erarbeitert werden.
